I really enjoyed 2010. It is sequel to 2001 A Space Odyssey. It answers a lot of questions about 2001. 2010 isn't just a special effects movie. It's got a great story and, it is also character driven. You get to know the people in the movie. They also explain from their point of view what's going on. As for the blu ray, it's got great video and audio. A couple of extra features. They could have done so much more with this blu ray release but didn't. But still this movie is fun to watch I strongly suggest that you check this out.

The Video: 2010 is presented in Video codec: VC-1, Video resolution: 1080p. It's got a clear crisp picture. The colors red and blue really stand out. When Dr. Chandra enters the control center for Hal. The room is a bright red. When they show the planet Jupiter the colors are very bright.
The Sound : 2010 is presented in
True Dolbyhd Lossless audio. For the most part this is a quite movie. It's got
good strong vocals. The front and rear speakers come alive every time they show
the USS Discovery or the Leonov. When this happens the sub woofer kicks in
with sound.

2010: The Year We Make Contact is a good sci-fi movie. If you never seen 2001 you might want to watch that first. Before this movie makes any sense to you. My problme with this blu ray release is lack of features. The special features are a disappointment. It's got one documentary, a preview of 2010 and a web link. The video and audio is great. This is a great rental and if your a fan of the movie series buy this movie. Below is how I rate this movie. On the scale of 1 - 5 stars, 5 being the highest .
