 I didn't get a chance to to see this movie at the theater the first time it came out. When I heard this was coming back I made it a point to see it. I was glad I did. Digitally remastered and now in high definition this movie has never looked better. Or sounded better. This blu ray comes with a ton of extra feature and a digital copy of the movie.  I strongly suggest that you add this to your blu ray collection.

The Story Of The Nightmare Before Christmas

Jack Skellington is the pumpkin king of Halloween town. Jack is getting tired of doing the same thing every year. He doesn't get a thrill out of scaring people like he use too. So he sets out to look for something new. He comes to a strange land and walks into a door. This door leads him to Christmas town. Jack has found what he is looking for. He tries to figure out what Christmas is all about and then decides to take it over and makes a real mess of things. Can Santa Clause fix what Jack has done wrong?

How Does It Look And Sound?

The Video : This disc is presented in Video codec: MPEG-4 AVC
Video resolution: 1080p.  This has got to be one of the best video transfers I've seen in a while. The picture is amazing. Colors that stand out are yellow, orange, green and gray. Good shadow detail and great levels of black. This makes a very good demo to show off your HDTV. While watching this movie I suggest turning off the lights for best viewing.

The Audio: This disc is recorded English: Dolby TrueHD 7.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) it has got a very good soundtrack. Got great vocals from the center speaker. The front and rear speakers as well as the sub woofer come alive during the singing. Good to have up loud.

Final Thoughts

This is a very enjoyable movie. Disney has done a wonderful job with this blu ray release. It is a must for any Tim Burton fan. It makes a good blu ray to show off your HDTV. And has got a excellent surround sound track. With all kinds of extra features that will keep you busy. And a digital copy of the movie.  Below is how I rate the movie. 1 to 5 stars. 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
